Saab Club of Canada’s Winter Drive is Sunday, February 13

Update: the weather was cold but sunny and windless, so it was a great day to poke around various spots in Rouge National Urban Park. We also toured some of the Pickering airport lands that have been frozen in time since the 1970s when they were expropriated for an airport that was never built (and may never be built.) We will add some pictures when we get them! (This poster forgot to bring a camera,!)

This year’s Winter Drive will cover some interesting back roads while not getting out of the Greater Toronto Area. Some of them will be in Toronto itself!

All Saabs are invited, whether or not they are part of the Saab Club of Canada.

Among other destinations, we will visit a beach from where we can (safely) view the Pickering Nuclear Generating Station. There will also be old cemeteries for those who like to do some historical exploration. So bring shoes or boots that can handle some snow and ice.

We will meet at the corner of Morningside Ave. and Sheppard Ave. E in Scarborough (or Toronto if you prefer) at 11:00 AM and will last about two hours. Full directions are given in the event listing.
