Last Saturday the Club Gathered at my (Rick’s) Condo for a Nostalgia/Tech meeting. We viewed a pristine VHS video tape about “The Long Run” at Talladaga. This 11 minute video was really interesting and crammed a lot of detail in that I hadn’t seen before. Fred is (maybe) going to look into transferring this to digital format. There were some other more obscure videos that looked like dealer training material. Also on hand were numerous old newsletters, training documents, brochures, and catalogs. The technical discussions were long and heavy. Our cars are getting older and needier. The available sources for parts and service are decreasing. So much discussion centered around that. Then we had a Tech II session in the parking garage. This continues to be a popular event as we now have the capability of connecting to the later 9-3’s. Ed was very busy with this, and left with a clean car from the wash bay.
