We are holding a three-part event in the east end of Toronto.
First, we will visit Standard Auto Wreckers. They don’t have many Saabs, but that could change! Also, there are a number of interesting old cars to look at. Do you feel nostalgic for the days there were Chrysler K-cars everywhere? They have some! How about NSU rotary-engine cars (I think that’s what they are)? They have those too.
Note that their “free parts day” is the following Saturday, July 27. If you have some mundane non-Saab car that might need parts, it’s worth checking out their selection in case you find the “free parts day” to be worthwhile.

Note that sturdy shoes should be worn, and safety boots are even better!
Meeting location and time for junkyard visit:
- Place: Petro-Canada station SW corner of Sheppard Ave E and Meadowvale Rd. (9501 Sheppard Ave E, Scarborough, ON M1B 5R9)
- Time: 10:45 AM for an 11:00 AM departure
Then we will have a tech session in Port Union at a community centre (with washrooms!). We will have the Club’s Tech II on hand, as well as the ability to gain security access where required. As always, we can provide guidance but all adjustments and programming are the responsibility of the Saab’s owner–the Saab Club is providing this equipment for use by members on their own recognizance.
Meeting location and time for the Tech Session:
- Place: West Rouge Community Centre (270 Rouge Hills Dr, Scarborough, ON M1C 2Z2)
- Time: Approximately 1 PM

Finally, we will have a social lunch. We will visit the local Black Dog Pub.
