The Saab Club of Canada held its Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Wednesday April 20. Some key items covered in the AGM include financial reports and elections to the Board of Directors (BOD).
This AGM saw some big changes int he composition of the BOD. Long-time Board Member and Club President, Scott Hutchings, did not run again. Neither did Board Member and Club Vice-President Fred Hopper. Their long service to the Club is much-appreciated and the BOD hopes that their experience and knowledge can still be tapped if required.
Please welcome two new Directors, both of whom have already taken active roles in the Club and will be a great asset on the BOD:
- Chris Despond
- Simon Newness
In addition, three existing Directors stayed on:
- Richard Clayton
- Stan East
- Ed Treijs
The Club’s new Vice President is Martin Wojtowicz. He is not on the Board of Directors.
For those interested in the constitutional details, the Vice President is elected at the AGM by the attending Club members, and does not have to be a member of the BOD. The President is elected by the new BOD at its first meeting after the AGM.
