This Sunday, July 12th, 2026 there are two great Swedish Car events to attend. The warm up is from 10am-Noon at Burlington IKEA, in the STAPLES parking lot, 1035 Plains Road East, Burlington, Ontario, L7T 4K1.

It’s followed by a celebration of 40 years of the 900 convertible at noon at a nearby undisclosed location IYKYK.

We’re two months away from the Saab Club of Canada’s Annual Labour Day “Swedish Meet Ball” at Montreal IKEA co-hosted by Alex Sándor Csank’s Eastern Ontario Volvos and Saabs group. It takes place at IKEA MONTREAL, 9191 Cavendish Blvd, Saint-Laurent, Quebec H4T 1M8, LOT ‘A’ on Sunday, September 6th, 2026 from 10 AM to 1 PM.
All Saabs, Scanias, Volvos, Polestars, Koenigseggs, and those who love them are welcome to attend. While this a Saab Club of Canada’s official event, just like the club’s previous Montreal “Swedish MEET Balls”, you do NOT need to be a Saab Club of Canada member to attend!
Come and meet old friends and make some new ones and enjoy a breakfast or lunch at the IKEA restaurant on the second floor as well. Please feel free to share this or even send invitations to any Swedish car lover you know. It’s going to be great!

Le bal annuel « Swedish Meet Ball » du Saab Club du Canada, organisé à l’occasion de la fête du Travail, aura lieu dans deux mois chez IKEA Montréal. Cet événement, co-organisé par le groupe Volvo et Saab de l’Est de l’Ontario d’Alex Sándor Csank, se déroulera le dimanche 6 septembre 2026, de 10 h à 13 h, chez IKEA Montréal (9191, boulevard Cavendish, Saint-Laurent, Québec H4T 1M8, lot A).
Tous les propriétaires de Saab, Scania, Volvo, Polestar, Koenigsegg et leurs passionnés sont les bienvenus. Bien qu’il s’agisse d’un événement officiel du Saab Club du Canada, à l’instar des précédents « Swedish Meet Balls » montréalais, il n’est pas nécessaire d’être membre pour y participer !
Venez retrouver des amis, faire de nouvelles rencontres et profiter d’un petit-déjeuner ou d’un déjeuner au restaurant IKEA, situé au deuxième étage. N’hésitez pas à partager cette information ou à inviter tous les amateurs de voitures suédoises que vous connaissez. Ça va être génial !

The first Saturday of every month, year round, rain or shine, is our monthly Swedish MEET Ball at IKEA Etobicoke. The July installment will be Saturday July 4th, 2026 10am-1pm. It’s located at 1475 The Queensway, Etobicoke, Ontario, M8Z 1T3 IN THE NORTHEAST LOT, if you enter via Wickman Road you don’t have to drive all the way through IKEA to get there.

Alex Sándor Csank has planned another Swedish Steel Gathering at IKEA Ottawa, 2685 Iris Street, Ottawa, Ontario, K2C 4B1 from 10am-2pm on Sunday June 28th, 2026. Alex writes:
Come and join us at the Ottawa IKEA parking lot for a gathering of Saabs, Volvos and other Swedish wheels! Remember to please park on the far West side of the IKEA parking area, so we stay out of the way of the ‘lesser’ cars and don’t get in the way of the other IKEA customers.
Usually, we go inside and eat in their cafeteria where they offer such great foods as their tasty meatballs, complete with Lingonberry jam and yummy gravy! They have lots of other stuff too.
