Canadian Automotive Museum plus Camp X, BBQ and Craft Breweries – Sunday September 23rd

All are welcome to join us for a club drive from Toronto to Oshawa and back.

  1. Meet at Ikea North York (15 Provost Dr) – Park on the top level of the parking deck in the Northeast corner.  Meet for breakfast at 9:20 (they open at 9:30 but we recommend 10 minutes early to beat the breakfast crowd).
  2. Departure from the parking lot at 10:30 and head for the Camp X Monument (1313 Boundary Rd, Oshawa).  If you skip breakfast you can still meet us in the parking lot, for any last minute questions call Fred at 416-716-0346.
  3. After we check out Camp X we’ll drive to the Canadian Automotive Museum (99 Simcoe St S, Oshawa).  We’ll get a tour of the museum by one of their volunteers at 11:30 am.  The Club will pay the $7 adminssion for all attendees who arrive on time.
  4. For lunch around 1:30 we’ll visit Buster Rhino’s. a well known Oshawa Southern BBQ house (28 King Street East) and sponsor of the Durham Craft Beer Festival every July.  There is lots of street parking and it’s free on Sundays.  Reservation is in the name of “Fred.”  
  5. After lunch for those of you who want to stick with us for the last part of the drive, we’ll be visiting a few craft breweries on the way back to the GTA for samples and/or purchases :

  7. Town Brewery (1632 Charles St, Whitby)
  8. Falcon Brewery (30 Barr Rd, Ajax)
